may be in a moment, a gesture, an object, a conversion of heart. Bless all who find Simple Grace in their lives!

Pentecost
Lord!A day full of Thy guidance
To reconciliation
a talk with Father
the Mass full of words of healing
But when the Eucharist was in my mouth
and I returned to my seat,
heard dear Ian singing.
This is what has the power to heal!
But to explain that to a doctor
full of faith in drugs?
To the children's class
Our body is a Temple
with at least seven servants
(five senses)
(mind and heart).
We have the choice whether they are
our servants or masters.
The Holy Spirit will descend
to reside in the alter of our hearts
and the Eucharist will be served
on our alter
to strengthen and heal.
The trust game:
one child in the middle
to fall back on the hands of his friends
a reflection of the community
catching one when they fall.
And a conversation with one wee lass
she and her mother concerned at
what her name means: Klaudia: lame
Ah, child
the people that Jesus healed,
how full of faith they must have been
to accept Jesus' healing hand.
And also
often our weakness
is what we are most able to teach.
That is why Klaude is also known
for being a confessor and teacher.
Lord
Your Holy Spirit
poured from my mouth.
Even to healing a dispute among the boys
so simple:
a court, with complainant and defendant
each had something to confess
each had something to apologise for
and the friendships were healed.
God bless

The Lord is everywhere, that is why He doesn't move.
I only went in to get my hip seen to. And get this PMT sorted.
As she pulled out 'the questionnaire'
oh Lord!
Of course I can't sit still,
you are condemning me
to the world of mental health
that I am sick and need healing
"these pills will help".
Oh Lord!
But then
I remember when the priest said
one reconciliation years ago:
'there spoke The Holy Spirit
"the sin is in not telling anyone" '
trying to sort it myself
thinking I had
not knowing that the sin was wider
than I could ever imagine.
As I faced the waiting room again
to fill in the forms
raw and angry
You sang to me from the radio:
and all the help You have given
Your Love
was not in the realm of foolery
but real, so real,
soothing, tender, understanding
that I cried
gratitude and joy overflowing
as the receptionist became briskly cheery.

On Inconstancy of Heart
My child,
do not trust your affections, for they are changeable and inconstant. All your life you are subject to change, even against your inclination. At one time you are cheerful, at another sad; now peaceful, now troubled; now full of devotion, now wholly lacking it; now grave, now gay; now zealous, now slothful.
But the wise man, who is well versed in spiritual matters, stands above these changing emotions. He pays small regard to his momentary feelings and whims, but directs all the powers of the mind towards the right and true end. Thus, having fixed his gaze and kept his intention constantly on Me, he can remain single in purpose, and unshaken under all circumstances.
The more single his purpose, the more steadily will a man pass through all the storms of life. But in many, this single purpose becomes obscured; for men pay ready attention to any pleasant thing that comes their way, and it is a rare thing to find anyone wholly free frmo the sin of self-interest. Thus the Jews once came out to Bethany to Martha and Mary, not for Jesus' sake only, but to see Lazarus.
Therefore, make your intention pure, single and upright, that it may be directed to Me alone without hindrance.

Joy
Ah, there is joy in the fullness of life
in singing, exhultation
in movement in activity
the welling emotion
overflowing and uplifting
but beware
return to Me
in the stillness of your heart
return to Me
drink deep
deeper and deeper again
find me in the stillness
discipline this body this mind this heart
to stop, to obey,
to fall still
and listen
Draw back the bow
to its full stretch
so when you are sent forth into the world again
the aim is straight and true.
Bless child
remember Me
in the least of your duties
hear me in the splash in the sink
the heat of the water
the turn for a smile
sink deep in me
in all your duties
I am waiting
to bless and sanctify
All

Nothing is superior, inferior
all is Mine
turn your heart again
to Me
I am waiting
to bless and sanctify
you.
Bless you Lord!
The heart swells in silence
delights in the smallest movement
yearns to return to You
in complete stillness
complete surrender

The stillness at the centre of all movement

You will find me
but first stop still
to recognise again
My Voice
I will come again...
to sanctify all
Now.

Put away anger
It is better to learn how to live without being angry than to imagine one can moderate and control anger lawfully; and if through weakness and frailty one is overtaken by it, it is far better to put it away forcibly than to parley with it, for give anger ever so little way, and it will become your master. . . .
You will ask how to put away anger. My child, when you feel its first movement, collect yourself gently and seriously, not hastily or with impetuosity. . . . Moreover, when there is nothing to stir your wrath, lay up a store of meekness and kindliness, speaking and acting in things great and small as gently as possible.

(Set Me as a seal, upon thine heart
as a seal, upon thine arm.
For Love is strong as death.
Jealousy is cruel as the grave
the coals thereof are coals of fire
which hath a most vehement flame.
Many waters cannot quench love
neither can the floods drown it.)
Love (thine heart)
and Arm (action)
together the Holy Spirit will act.
The Holy Spirit
that we are sealed with at Confirmation,
is a promise that is never taken away.
Over and over again,
I search a person who touches my heart
and a Catholic past is lurking.
Ah, dear Lord!
This song is of The Prodigal Son!
When the song was first written
it was the son talking to the father...
But now Yusuf is talking to the son.
Ah, Lord
you are never conventional...
Sweet Adelines - Auckland
Aren't each and every one of these women absolutely glowing! They are all mothers, sisters, grandmothers, who sing along with their practise tapes while they are doing dishes, being taxi services, working. This is their sisterhood, their escape time. Few are trained singers. But listen to them!
Went to a conducting conference a couple of years ago, to learn how to conduct. 'Acedemic' professional conductors, children's choir conductors, folk, church choir conductors, beginners and professionals all together to enthuse and upgrade the choral world in NZ. The Hamilton Sweet Adelines were wonderful - the warmth, the love, how the tears flowed with joy to see how beautiful women can be!
And this mottley crew, Auckland boys having a great time, achieving excellence!

Breathe on me Breath of God
The creation story tells us that the human person is made to be the image of God and therefore the embodiment of the divine presence in the world. The human person is given life by having the very breath or Spirit of God with which to breathe....
In the human Jesus, the image of God is recreated in the world. In him the Spirit of God breathes in the midst of the human community and is breathed forth onto others...
